  What is PCB Clone

  PCB clone, also known as PCB reverse engineering or copy board, refers to the technical process of duplicating an existing printed circuit board (PCB) by analyzing its physical sample.

  Core working steps

  1. Disassemble and remove all electronic components from the original circuit board, record the model, parameters and position of each part.
  2. Scan or measure the bare PCB to capture the complete layout, copper traces, pad positions, vias, silkscreen layers and solder mask data.
  3. Restore the original PCB schematic diagram based on the wiring and component distribution.
  4. Generate standard PCB manufacturing files (Gerber files) matching the original board’s layer stack, thickness and material requirements.
  5. Fabricate the duplicated circuit board and solder the matching electronic components to make a functional replica consistent with the original board.

  Main application scenarios

  It is widely used for product maintenance when original PCB drawings are lost, function verification of mature circuit designs, replacement of discontinued control boards, and secondary development of existing electronic products.
